Robert Keenan Chardonnay 2001, Napa Valley

Robert Keenan Winery is situated on one of my favorite spots in all of Napa, Spring Mountain, home of some of the most rich, ripe, lovely reds around, but I haven't really had many whites other than those offered by Guilliams and Pride. This is a wonderful chardonnay, partially from estate fruit, partially bought fruit from the Napa valley floor.

Color: Honeyed, clear
Body; pretty dense, lots of glycerin
Nose: all butterscotch and pears
Flavor: no Malo, bursts of huge fruit.
