Wow, that's tragic! Just the thought of the butter Mme. Chegny uses makes me want to get on a plane for another visit! But you live in Burgundy, so life is good! Do make an effort to try again. I'm anxious to know more about your wines as well.  - John

We were just in Fleurie last week, picking up some wine for the latest Elden shipment (an up-and-coming young wine maker in Moulin a Vent, Richard Rottiers) and we stopped in front of Le Cep on a day it was closed. Imagine our disappointment to be able to read the menu, but not get in! Happily, we live in Burgundy, halfway between Chablis and Beaune, so it's not the end of the earth. We'll get there next time!
