Ryan, thanks for the expert comment. I still have the 20 in the 'fridge and I'll try the tonic and lemon tip when I get home tonight.

At VinPortugal, I tasted a few 40s that were a tad dried out, but the Dow's was pretty fruity still. I think that is really their style.



Actually one of the most poured drinks in Portugal during summer is Tawny Port and Tonic with a slice of lemon...You'll find many more of these than Tawny by itself!

As to the wines, I always seem to find I prefer the 30's to the 40's. The forties always seem like they are a bit dried out...Cheers,
