I got hit by cherry chutney on the nose: spice and brightly concentrated fruit. Slightly smokey with impeccable balance. Everything you want from Sonoma Coast-- a blend of 92% Sonatera Vineyard and 8% Hirsch Vineyard Pinot Noir, the Sonatera giving the depth and the Hirsch the brightness. Some whole clusters were put into the bins for earthiness and complexity. Adam Lee is a tremendous wine producer and has a knack for bringing out the best in any fruit he gets. This is a great value and a terrific wine. I had it in a 375 ml bottle which matures a bit quicker but the 750 ml bottles should be mature enough to drink now and for the next couple of years. Highly recommended. 486 cases produced.
